Melissa is a graduate from Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine, a Dipl. of Acupuncture with the NCCAOM and a Virginia Licensed Acupuncturist. She began her studies in Chinese Medicine with a 2 year, formal apprenticeship in TCM in 2005, including internal martial arts training and Qi cultivation with Jason Redinbo, L.Ac.  She utilizes both TCM and Classical CM applications to assist in helping people return to a state of health and balance.

Melissa believes in the power of nature as medicine. She has participated in the movement to grow Chinese herbs in the US, having successfully harvested and processed medicine for her local community. She's also studied with naturalists, trackers and primitive skills experts, deepening her connection with nature and community. She is currently caretaker of six acres of land off the blue ridge parkway, where she lives in a tiny house she designed. Her hobbies include music, quilting, birding and walking barefoot in the woods.
